OUR HISTORY
1977
Established in 1977 as Steve Gray (Motor Engineers) Ltd, we built a strong reputation for commercial vehicle repairs in the Liverpool area; expanding in to new premises on Brookfield Drive in the early 80's. With the extra workshop space and a large forecourt area we started a used car & van sales centre.
1984
In 1984 we went on to open two car franchises, Lancia & Diahatsu, whilst continuing to grow the commercial vehicle workshops and van sales centre at the same site.
1994
In 1994 we became a Foden Service and Parts dealer and were soon aproached by Foden to procure Manchester Trucks Centre; in 1999 MTC Northwest was born with Foden Dealerships in both Liverpool and Manchester.
2001
In 2001 we relocated to a 4 acre site in Knowsley were we created a purpose built, state of the art 7-bay drive through workshop, complete with tacho bay and brake testing facilities. When Paccar, the owners of Foden, retired the brand in 2004 and we became a DAF Service & Parts Dealer, another Paccar company. We later achieved M1 status, continuing to grow our DAF business with a varied customer base of large, meduim and smaller operators
2005
In 2005 we were approached by Hino Motors, part of the Toyota group to become a Sales, Service and Parts Dealer. This complemented our business greatly and we went from strength to strength, building our DAF & Hino business up to an impressive level.
2014
In 2014 we added MAN Truck & Bus to our already impressive portfolio and are relishing the challenge of being the first and only MAN dealer on Merseyside. We are in an excellent position of offering our customers a one stop shop for all their Commercial Vehicle requirements and will continue to offer the very highest levels of service to our loyal customers
2021
Despite difficult times, we have continued to grow and this year have added a bespoke 5 bay van centre to our site to accommodate our increasing van sales and repair requirements. Our rental fleet has now also grown to include the award winning MAN TGE van.
